Speeding issues

The Parish Council recognises the importance of addressing speeding issues and operates a mobile Speed Indicator Device (SID), which is deployed at various locations across the parish. The SID collects data on vehicle speeds, helping us to build evidence of the issues. Where the data indicates a significant speeding issue, we share this information with the police to support enforcement action.

However, it is also crucial that residents report instances of speeding directly to the police. Individual reports help build a wider picture of the issue and can influence police priorities for enforcement. You can report speeding concerns via the Avon and Somerset Police website here: Raise a community speed concern | Avon and Somerset Police or by calling 101.
